Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough is warning citizens about the rise in phone scams and raising awareness about people who use the names of local officers to persuade victims to pay.

Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough said the families of the students involved have been notified and that there is no danger to the community. This is an ongoing investigation.

Law enforcement said Carlos Colindres was last seen leaving a party in October.
