Wake Forest coach Dave Clawson has resigned. Clawson ended his 11-year run Monday by saying he had given "everything I had" for the program and school.

Wake Forest athletics director John Currie in a statement called the cancellation and the Oregon State series "the right business decision." Kiffin had said Wake Forest broke "an unwritten rule" by backing out of next year's return trip to Oxford and forcing the school to search for a replacement game. The school didn't specify how much it must pay to buy out of that game.

Wake Forest coach Steve Forbes says his wife is regaining movement on her left side following a stroke last month and he plans to continue with his coaching duties entering preseason practices.

Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson has been named the 2021 Associated Press ACC Coach of the Year. 

Another Wake Forest basketball player has decided to give up his remaining eligibility and turn pro.
