Welcome Back Warmer Weather With Our Annual Outdoor Concert

Join WFDD for a relaxed evening under the trees at YMCA Camp Weaver. Spring Fling brings together remarkable musicians for an outdoor concert experience rooted in Appalachian tradition and global sound.

This year’s event features a live taping of The Martha Bassett Show — capturing the energy of a performance you’ll later hear on the air.

Bring a lawn chair, invite a friend, and settle in for dinner, dessert, and live music.

FAQ

What address should I put in my GPS?

Look Up and Listen will be held at YMCA Camp Hanes — 1225 Camp Hanes Rd, King, NC 27021

Can I buy tickets at the event?

Yes, general admission tickets will be available onsite, but early bird pricing is only online through September 26.

What happens if it rains?

In the event of inclement weather, an email will be sent to everyone with a ticket to alert them, we will cancel the event and refund you the cost of your ticket.

I have accessibility needs - what is the terrain like? Is there priority parking?

Camp Hanes does have paved walk ways, however there are steps going down in to the amphitheater (our main listening area) that do not have rails and other seating will be on a grassy hill. Additionally, we do have limited parking that is closer to the lake than the general parking. If you are in need of one of these spots, please reach out to Rachel Thomas directly at thomara@wfu.edu.

What if I have a question that's not answered here?

Please reach out to us at wfddpublicradio@wfu.edu with any additional questions. On the day of the event most of our staff will at the event, but we'll answer you as soon as possible!
