Fall Bar Meetups
WFDD’s Bar Meetups are hitting the road, and we’re pouring good vibes across the region! We’re popping up in new places (and a few old favorites), and you’re invited to join the fun. Make a donation of any amount and we’ll cover your first drink — plus you’ll score a WFDD pint glass to take home. Come hang out with other radio nerds, swap stories with our staff, and toast to local journalism, one pint at a time.

It's WFDD's annual evening of stargazing, storytelling, and, of course, s'mores!
Join us Saturday, October 18th at the lake at YMCA's Camp Hanes in King, NC. We'll gather near the marina to make s'mores and listen to family-friendly spooky stories. The Forsyth Astronomical Society will also be onsite with a high-powered telescope to give a guided tour of the night sky.
After the fires start to die down, join us at StoCo Provisions for a drink — your first one is on us!

WFDD Movie Club
Get your Halloween thrills with the WFDD Movie Club! In partnership with Winston-Salem’s A/perture Cinema, we’re celebrating spooky season with a special screening of the 1978 sci-fi classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Mysterious alien pods are replicating San Francisco residents in this chilling remake starring Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Jeff Goldblum, and Leonard Nimoy.
Join us Saturday, October 25 at noon at A/perture Cinema in downtown Winston-Salem. After the film, stick around for an engaging post-screening discussion hosted by WFDD’s Neal Charnoff and Dean of Filmmaking at UNC School of the Arts, Deborah LaVine.
WFDD Book Club
The WFDD Book Club meets quarterly in three locations, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and, beginning in August of 2025, Salisbury! You can also join the WFDD Book Club Facebook Group or subscribe to the Book Club email list.
