Terry Kennedy Highlights NC Writers' Network Spring Conference
He’s also Associate Editor of the Greensboro Review, and he’ll bring all those skills to bear during his workshop titled “Authors as Entrepreneurs” at this year’s North Carolina Writers’ Network Spring Conference. It will be an entire day of workshops by top writing faculty on the UNCG campus Saturday, April 13 from 8:30-5:30 in the MHRA Building. Included will be an all-day fiction workshop with UNCG’s Lee Zacharias, creative non-fiction with Judy Goldman, and Andrew Saulters will lead a hands-on demonstration of traditional bookbinding. Over the past 20 years, the conglomeration of publishing houses and the growth of e-books have forced writers and publishers to adapt quickly to the changing landscape. Terry Kennedy sees a Golden Age Revival for the industry with Indie publishers and a generation of modern authors forging new entrepreneurial paths to reach targeted and loyal audiences; audiences that the writers themselves have cultivated through inventive strategies of their own.
