The Blue Ridge Music Center (BRMC) is located on the North Carolina/Virginia border, just south of Galax, Virginia at mile marker 213 on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. It's just about an hour's drive from the Triad area. This summer at BRMC, in addition to taking in free traditional Appalachian music concerts there daily, a wonderful museum, and hike trails through some of the best scenery around, visitors will also enjoy acclaimed fiddler, banjo player, music historian and NPR's own Paul Brown. Paul's bringing back his hugely successful radio program Across the Blue Ridge LIVE at the Blue Ridge Music Center. Part two of the three-part series is titled Two Musical Families.

You can catch up with Paul and Across the Blue Ridge LIVE in the beautiful outdoor amphitheater at the Blue Ridge Music Center on Saturday night, August 23rd at 7:00 PM. The BRMC's open from 10 AM - 5 PM every day where you can enjoy the Roots of American Music Exhibit and local Mid-Day Mountain Musician concerts daily from noon to 4:00PM.
