Modern Music Takes the Spotlight in New Music Greensboro's "Present-Continuous"

New Music Greensboro presents Present~Continuous. It's UNC Greensboro's modern music ensemble melding staples in the repertoire with new works and semi-improvised music. The concert features 20^th century masters Phillip Glass, and Luciano Berio, “Bang on a Can's” Julia Wolfe, UNCG student Luke Baker, with special guests violinist Sarah Plum and composer Charles Nichols. 

On Monday, November 10^th Sarah Plum will give a master class, and on Tuesday the 11^th Charles Nichols will lecture ahead of the evening performance  at 7:30pm, by Present~Continuous. All events take place in the UNCG Music Building Recital Hall.

Associate Professor of Composition and Electronic Music Mark Engebretson shared the program beginning with Il Prete Rosso by Charles Nichols. He was joined by violinist Sarah Plum.
