Two Rockingham County kindergarten classrooms have temporarily closed because of COVID-19 exposure. 

The classes are at Stoneville Elementary School. According to a Rockingham County Schools Facebook post, the two kindergarten classrooms will be closed through October 29. Students will pivot to virtual learning beginning Tuesday. 

School officials say that anyone directly exposed has been notified.

Rockingham County has struggled to maintain in-person teaching over the past few weeks. Three elementary schools reverted to virtual learning for periods in October due to COVID-19 exposure, and the Western Rockingham Early Childhood Center pre-K program will be conducting virtual classes through Wednesday.
