hurricane season

An active 2023 hurricane season comes to a close

The Atlantic hurricane season ends today. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says more named storms formed in the Atlantic this year than any other El Niño year in the modern record.

Hurricane Forecasts Will Start Earlier In 2021

Named storms have formed in the Atlantic before the official June 1 start of hurricane season in each of the last six years. The National Hurricane Center is discussing starting the season in May.
