Capitol Police Pfc. Harry Dunn noted in testimony before Congress about the U.S. Capitol insurrection that he was called the N-word after he said he voted for President Biden.
Anne Sacoolas, whose SUV struck and killed Harry Dunn in England, had asked the judge to dismiss the U.S. case to compel Dunn's family to pursue the lawsuit in U.K. courts.
Harry Dunn's family argued the U.K. government had wrongly granted Anne Sacoolas diplomatic immunity. Sacoolas, the wife of a U.S. diplomat, is charged in his death but fled to the U.S.
The president said his meeting with the parents of 19-year-old Harry Dunn "was beautiful in a certain way," before arguing that driving the wrong way in Europe "happens to a lot of people."
