A Lewisville man is accused of assaulting two people over Black Lives Matter signs displayed in the rear window of their car. All those involved in the incident are white.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said a deputy shot and killed 23-year-old Casey Goodson on Friday. Law enforcement recovered a gun. Goodson's attorneys say he was licensed to carry a firearm.
State Rep. Attica Scott was charged with first-degree rioting, which is a felony. She was also facing lesser charges of failure to the disperse and unlawful assembly. She called charges "bogus."

"Donald Trump has made my job a hell of a lot harder since he started talking about Portland," says Multnomah County Sheriff Mike Reese. The president claimed that the "Portland sheriff" supports him.
"The Grand Jury is meant to be a secretive body," Attorney General Daniel Cameron says in a statement. "It's apparent that the public interest in this case isn't going to allow that to happen."
