On this week's Triad To Do, Molly Davis educates you on the Woolly Worm Festival. The 38th Annual Festival is happening October 17th and 18th in Banner Elk. It's a weekend of live music, food, inflatables, arts and crafts, and yes, the woolly worm. Did you know that the woolly worm creates a natural antifreeze once the cold weather arrives? Lots of folks think the caterpillar can predict the severity of winter based on the color pattern of its body segments. Learn more at the Festival where you can race your own woolly worm!

Bethany recommends the 42nd Annual Carolina BalloonFest taking place October 16th through the 18th in Statesville. Iredell County has a rich ballooning history. Statesville is home to Firefly Balloons, one of the largest balloon manufacturers in the country. The Carolina BalloonFest is the 2nd longest running balloon festival! Check out 50 hot air balloons, two fly overs, hot air balloon flights, tethered balloon rides, and more.

Eddie's checking out a/perture cinema and Sukhada Gokhale Productions' first annual 2015 “Winston-Salem South Asian Film Festival – W-S/SAFF”, featuring films made by South Asian filmmakers. This mini film festival will take place from October 9, 2015 through October 11, 2015, and will include feature-length films and a short film program. Tickets can be purchased at a/perture's box office or online via aperturecinema.com.
