There's a new place for Forsyth County residents to go when they need help from U.S. Rep Patrick McHenry.

It's one of the latest changes brought on by redistricting. McHenry (R-10th) had previously represented an area further to the west. But 2020 brought his district into the northern and western parts of Forsyth County. Most of Winston-Salem is represented by Rep. Kathy Manning (D-6th).

The new office is in the town hall of Rural Hall. In addition to Forsyth County residents, it will also serve Stokes, Surry, and Rockingham.

It's where people can go when they need help with constituent services. That can include assistance getting a passport or navigating federal agencies such as the Social Security or Veterans administrations.

Back when Forsyth's suburbs were part of Virginia Foxx's Fifth District, she kept an office in Clemmons.

But the Fifth District also changed considerably with the last election, moving her area to the west. In addition to her longtime Boone office, Foxx now also has one in the Gaston County town of Dallas.
