The University of North Carolina at Greensboro has long been a leading school in all areas of the arts, and its summer music camp is one of this region's finest. But this July will mark the beginning of its very first summer enrichment camp for High School students encompassing the visual arts. UNCG Art Camp 2014 begins this July and Head of the Art Department and professor of art history Lawrence Jenkens says campers will receive instruction in drawing, digital photo, mixed media and ceramics.

The week long UNCG Art Camp is for high schoolers grades 8-12 with a desire to enrich their studio knowledge. During morning sessions students can choose from a wide variety of drawing techniques and mediums or digital photography. After lunch it'll be a choice each day between two and three dimensional mixed media projects or ceramics.  UNCG Art Camp runs from July 14th through the 19th with a student art exhibition on the last day.
