The Obama Administration is launching a final push to win congressional support for a U.S. military strike against Syria. President Obama will lay out his case to the American public Tuesday night to support his proposal for intervention in Syria.

WFDD's Keri Brown talked with people in downtown Winston-Salem Monday to get local reaction about the possibility of going to war again in the Middle East.

Reflecting national opinion trends, most of those people WFDD spoke to in Winston-Salem are by and large opposed to U.S. military action against Syria.

WFDD will carry NPR's coverage of President Obama's speech to the nation live at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
