If you're looking for a throwback to the time of flippers, drop targets, and extra balls, head over to Lost Ark Video Games in Greensboro. While Lost Ark's arcade carries regular video games, too, they have an excellent selection of classic and newer pinball machines. And you won't have to bring a pocketful of quarters to play either. Instead, you pay a flat fee, and play as much as you want so you can spend enough time winning that high score.

BeersNGears is hosting Winston-Salem's only annual bike festival starting October 29th. The non-profit cycling advocacy organization will be kicking off HalloWheels with a Bike-In showing of E.T. at a/perture cinema (group ride to the theatre begins at 7pm from SECCA). On the 30th, it's a spooky scavenger hunt around town, and on October 31st, break out your turn-of-the 20th Century attire for the HalloTweed ride. 

Two off the beaten path horror films are opening at a/perture cinema just in time for Halloween. On October 23rd the dark and suspenseful Austrian film Goodnight Mommy and October 30th, the animated horror anthology based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe Extraordinary Tales.
