Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem is presents poet, author, and longtime Davidson College Professor of English Dr. Tony Abbott. Beginning next week, he'll lead The Music and the Arts Ministry in a series of four fascinating lectures. This year Tony will be focusing on writer Anne Lamott and her incredible faith journey.

On Tuesday evenings at 7, March 11th through April 4th, Tony will lead a series of lectures on American novelist, non-fiction writer, political activist, public speaker, and writing teacher author Anne Lamott.  Tony will focus on how she discovered her faith, nurtured and developed it, and how it formed the basis for her acclaimed books of essays: Traveling Mercies, Plan B, and Grace(Eventually). On March 12th, at Davidson College, Tony will launch his new book of poems, The Angel Dialogues, a series of dialogues between an aging poet and an angel published by Lorimer Press.
