In just three short years Salem College Director of Choral Activities and Theory Sonja Sepulveda has shaped the vision and sounds of her choirs into award-winning ensembles traveling the world and spreading the Gospel literally.

On February 23 at 7:30pm the Salem Choir will be joined by Sonja's Palmetto Voices in a performance featuring African Folk music, Spirituals and Gospel. It's a marriage between African and European choral styles of Bach with music by Aaron Copland and Ralph Vaughan Williams as well. The performance will be held in Hanes Auditorium on the Salem College campus in Winston-Salem. On March 12 the choirs head to Dallas, Texas to what's been called the “Olympics of Choir” where they'll be featured in the National American Choral Directors Association Concert.
