Stephon Ingram and Jasmine Little say their involvement in one community program has empowered them to be a part of social change.

Stephon Ingram and Jasmine Little are veteran members of Authoring Action. It is a year-round, intensive writing program for youth in the Winston-Salem area. These young people say participating in this program helped prepare them for college. Ingram is attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Little is at North Carolina A&T State University. They also reach back by being youth mentors with Authoring Action.

In this StoryLine segment, they talk about how this program and its founder have transformed their lives. StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives.

Ingram and Little credit Authoring Action for giving them a platform where they can find their voice, comment on social issues important to them and increase their self-confidence.
