Twin City Stage, now in its 79th year, presents their first ever production of The Philadelphia Story by Phillip Barry. It opens Friday, September 13 and it'll run through the 22nd with evening performances at 8:00 and Sunday matinees at 2:00 at Twin City Stage. The Philadelphia Story tells the tale of haughty socialite Tracy Lord. Tracy's wedding plans are complicated by the simultaneous arrival of her ex-husband, C.K. Dexter Haven, and an attractive tabloid reporter by the name of Mike Connor. The Philadelphia Story ran for more than 400 performances, and the movie version (both starring Katherine Hepburn) is rated #5 on the American Film Institute's list of top romantic comedies. Hepburn's counterpart is Twin City Stage actress, and Wake Forest University senior Anne Goodall. She's joined by actor David Joy who plays C.K. Dexter Haven, and director Jim McKenny.
