Charlie Lovett is a former antiquarian book seller, current book collector, and published author.

His newest novel, published by Penguin and titled The Bookman's Tale, goes on sale today. Barnes and Noble has selected the novel as a 2013 Recommends title. In it, Lovett weaves together stories and history from Shakespearian London, Victorian England, a more contemporary North Carolina setting, and a quaint British town.  At the center of it all is a mysterious literary relic that takes his protagonist on quite an adventure.

For listeners in the Piedmont, you'll find plenty of local inspiration in this new novel. You can hear Lovett May 30th at the Greensboro Barnes and Noble and June 3rd as Bookmarks and Summit School host a book release party in the Loma Hopkins Theatre of Summit School.  Both events begin at 7pm and are free and open to the public.
