The work of Tony Award-winning costume designer and University of North Carolina School of the Arts alumnus Paul Tazewell is coming to High Point.
Tazewell won a Tony Award for his work on the acclaimed play Hamilton, and he also won an Emmy for NBC's production of The Wiz Live!. Pieces from those shows and others will be on display at High Point's Theatre Art Galleries.
Tazewell's work goes back more than a quarter of a century.
In a 2016 interview with WFDD, he talked about collaborating with directors, choreographers and others to come up with a visual representation of the cast.
“How does everybody see who this character is? And then, [there's] figuring what is the best representation of the color of nail polish and what kind of shoe they wear,” said Tazewell.
The exhibit runs through January 3.
