Today on the show it’s all about the music with not one but two live in studio performances, and in between we’re off to the flickies with an eclectic group of screenings from one of our nation’s finest film schools. First, Bethany Chafin gets genuine with The Genuine LIVE in Studio A. Their new album is out, and it’s already making waves on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts. Then, the UNC School of the Arts gets set to share the best of the best with the school’s third and fourth year film students’ Fall Film Showcase. To round out the program we’re back live in the studio, this time Live at UNCG. The University of NC at Greensboro’s Spartan Jazz Collective is giving back big time with a musical tribute and an important Triad fundraiser for the International Civil Rights Museum. An entire evening of music by legendary bebop pioneer, jazz drummer, activist, and NC native, the late great Max Roach.
