Early Voting In North Carolina Kicks Off Wednesday

PAUL GARBER/WFDD

In-person early voting in North Carolina begins Wednesday.

It's also known as one-stop absentee voting, and this year, it runs from October 17th to November 3rd, three days before Election Day.

For early voting, anyone can cast a ballot in-person in the county in which they are registered. On Election Day you'll have to go to your specific precinct, but for early voting, there are multiple locations.

Early voting also allows for same-day registration. Voters can register by filling out an application and showing proof of address.

There will be more than 300 early voting sites across the state. County-by-county locations and hours can be found on the State Board of Elections website.
