The Better Business Bureau of Northwest North Carolina is looking for a new leader.

Former president and CEO David Dalrymple, the public face of the organization since 2000, resigned Friday. Better Business Bureau officials declined to comment Tuesday, but in a press release said Board Chairman Brian Wright will serve as interim chief executive until a full-time replacement is found.

The Better Business Bureau of Northwest North Carolina has offices in Winston-Salem and serves a 14-county area. The organization strives to develop marketplace trust by accrediting businesses, handing consumer complaints and offering tips to avoid scams.
