There are lots of exciting changes coming to WFDD in 2016!  We're doubling our reporting staff to provide more award-winning coverage of the local news, arts, and culture stories that matter most to you. WFDD arts coverage will now be heard throughout our news programming and can be found online at WFDD.org. The ways in which we bring you those stories will be enhanced too. You'll hear our local features incorporating multiple voices and on-location sounds like those heard daily on All Things Considered and Morning Edition from Washington, D.C.

Beginning in February, the Triad Arts team of David Ford, Eddie Garcia, Bethany Chafin, and Quique Rodriguez-Pastor will be merging with WFDD News, expanding our reach into the 32 counties we serve. On January 29th we'll air the final installment of Triad Arts Weekend, a “Best Of” celebration of the past decade of arts in the Triad. The last daily Triad Arts segment will air Wednesday, February 24th, and beginning in March, we'll be taking deeper dives into the art stories that enhance our community with NPR-style features. You'll also have many more opportunities to experience those stories and performances in person during live events hosted by WFDD throughout the year.

We're excited to be bringing you Public Radio for the Piedmont in creative and meaningful ways, and we look forward to hearing from you. Pitch us your story at wfddnews@wfu.edu.
