The first of this year's Across the Blue Ridge summer listening sessions brings us a wonderful selection of old and new songs and tunes demonstrating the many cultural crossroads in American traditional and popular music.  Wherever you are, you can enjoy old time mountain music from Kentucky's Cousin Emmy; bluegrass from Ralph Stanley and Bill Monroe; mountain classics from Mainer's Mountaineers; and blues from Pink Anderson.  There's much more, including cuts from a new album by Chicago-based band Big Sadie, and a song from roots music veteran Bob Bovee.
