This Saturday, a piece of history will be up for sale.

The Sheppard's Mill located near Danbury, North Carolina on Snow Creek will go to the highest bidder at an absolute auction.  Troy Hall of Hall Auction and Realty explains that an absolute auction means that, “the property will be sold the day of the auction...withour any minimums or reserves." Walter House of House Auctions describes the property as a three story mill run by water turbines. The auctioneers have hosted four open houses for potential buyers over the past several weeks.  All of the original machinery and tools, including a wood planer made in Salem, North Carolina pre-1913, are included in the estate. The auction begins at 12:00pm this Saturday, May 18th.
