The UNCG-based Healthy Relationships Initiative in collaboration with 4 other local organizations (the Guilford County Partnership for Children, Guilford Child Development, the United Way of High Point, and Ready for School/Ready for Life) will host two events occurring on Tuesday, May 7th to launch our collaborative partnership with Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC). SSIC, the nonprofit arm of Sesame Street, uses the Sesame characters to promote positive child development and address challenging issues like divorce, incarceration, and homelessness in a child-friendly way. There will be 2 events in one day, at the High Point Public Library from 10-11:30 am, and at the Greensboro Library (Central Branch) from 3:30-5:00 pm. The event will include a Cookie Monster appearance, entertainment by Big Bang Boom, kid-friendly interactive activities, and resources for families of young children.
