`À la carte: Spring Concert

À la carte presents its Spring Concert on Friday, March 15, 2019 (7:30 p.m,) at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greensboro. The eclectic program features composer/Jazz saxophonist Brian Horton and includes music by Henry Purcell, Ernst Chausson, Chick Corea, contemporary composer George Crumb, 14th and 15th century motets and more. At an À la carte concert, expect something old (early music), something new (premieres!), something borrowed (world music) or something blue (Jazz and popular music).

This À la carte concert is hosted by Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greensboro, North Carolina, 607 North Green St., Greensboro, NC 27401 and is free and open to a public excited to hear a wide assortment of music from various genres, styles and epochs, performed by some of the area’s best musicians.

À la carte is directed by Clara O’Brien, internationally recognized mezzo-soprano and University of North Carolina at Greensboro professor of voice and Dr. Lance Hulme, professor of music at North Carolina Central University and prize-winning composer, with many international performances to his credit. Together with Prof. O’Brien and Dr. Hulme, À la carte draws on the finest professional performers from the Triad area and beyond. We also promote emerging artists who are of the highest quality.

The concerts are free to the public. Performers include:
