Innovation is the introduction of new ideas, devices, or methods that will simplify and improve our lives. An obvious example is the smartphone. At any moment I can listen to music and make a citizen science entry, right after I waste an hour on social media. I can even make phone calls, but I prefer to text. But not all innovations are so complex,

A global summit to address climate change wrapped up in Peru last week. After 36 hours of negotiation, a draft of the Lima Accords was presented--a plan which will change how countries deal with carbon emissions. Wake Forest professor Justin Catanoso is a regular WFDD contributor and attended the UN Climate talks.

As the nation digests the news coming out of Missouri, a local law professor who studies police culture says there are lessons that can be learned from it, but says reports of violence are overshad
