The Blue Ridge Music Center recently announced its Summer Evening Concert Series Schedule with artists spanning all styles of traditional Appalachian music from the accordion-infused Indie-Americana sounds of The Amigos which kicked off the series last Saturday, to The Sherman Holmes Project's moving blend of blues, gospel, and soul coming up this weekend.

Their concert series continues Saturday night, June 6th at 7PM in the beautiful outdoor amphitheater with The Sherman Holmes Project with Phil Wiggins & Brooks Long. The Music Center is open from 10 AM - 5 PM every day where you can enjoy the Roots of American Music Exhibit and local Mid-Day Mountain Musician concerts daily from noon to 4:00PM. They're located on the North Carolina/Virginia border, just south of Galax, Virginia at mile marker 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Music Center Program Director Richard Emmett says concerts continue practically every Saturday night at the Blue Ridge Music Center's beautiful outdoor amphitheater, just about an hour's drive from the Triad.
