Carol Roan is an Indiana University graduate where she also earned a Master's degree in Vocal performance.

After years of professional opera and oratorio singing throughout the Northeast, Carol began teaching voice in 1970. Her students have ranged from soprano Amanda Pabyan, to the Indie Rock band The Cobbs, to singer/songwriter Ryan Tennis. We sample from Ryan's work in the show. Carol's series of six classes titled Singing for the “Tone Deaf” begins on June 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Arts Cafe at 411 W. Fourth Street in downtown Winston-Salem.
