Second Spring Arts is a community wide celebration of the achievements of people 60 and over in every art form imaginable, and the four-day festival at Hanesbrands Theatre in Winston-Salem will showcase them all.

Beginning Tuesday, May 14th keynote speaker and National Center for Creative Aging Founder Susan Perlstein talks arts, health and wellness. Wednesday it'll be literary arts, followed by juried and non-juried visual art shows at Delta Fine Arts Center on Thursday, and Friday's musical and dance performances.

Closing day performances will celebrate a variety of music and dance including performances by the New Horizons Bands with Peter Perret, the Snappy Tappers, Sharps and Flats, and ballroom dancing led by Ann Guill. An official painting by Linda Weaver will be unveiled and later sold in raffle. On the first half of day one of the festival, Novant Health will provide free health screenings for bone density, cholesterol, blood pressure and body mass in their mobile unit in front of Hanesbrands Theatre.

Second Spring Arts festival is free and founder/organizers Nancy Hall and Al Perry look forward to celebrating with people of all ages.
