The Irish poet Seamus Heaney passed away last Friday, August 30th. He was 74.  The well-loved writer was born in Northern Ireland, and during his career he published over 20 volumes of poetry and criticism, taught at Harvard University, served as the Oxford Professor of Poetry, and won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1995.  Professor of English and Director of the Wake Forest University Press Jeff Holdridge and Assistant Professor of English Omaar Hena shared their reflections on the poet and his work.
