Picture a world-class jazz concert, engaging arts activities for kids, and fun for the whole family all taking place outdoors in a beautiful Triad-area garden. It's Groovin' in the Garden—Jazz at Gateway Gardens in Greensboro this Sunday.

The afternoon of jazz performances on three stages is Sunday, April 26th from – noon-5pm. Its a  collaborative effort by Greensboro Beautiful, the Parks & Recreation Department, Music Center, and the Greensboro Youth Council. There will be an instrument "Petting Zoo", children's activities, a Garden Quest, and food vendors at this family friendly event..Gateway Gardens is located at 2924 East Lee Street – less than half a mile from Barber Park and at the corner of E. Lee and Florida Streets. The event is free and open to the public.

Event coordinator, Greensboro Beautiful's Mebane Ham says it's the Gate City's newest and most beautiful garden adorned with lots of regional and local artworks, a gorgeous fountain, great children's area and more. She spoke with Triad Arts Executive Producer David Ford before last year's event.
