Greensboro native Marta Richardson is on a one woman mission to share the love she has for her instrument, the violin, with hundreds of dedicated minority students at Peeler Open School for the Performing Arts. Peeler faculty members teach the arts using hands-on learning, and flexible groupings in a centers-based learning environment. Marta is a UNC at Greensboro school of music grad, and former Greensboro Symphony member. She also enjoyed a performance career in the cutting edge world music band Songs of Water before dedicating herself fulltime to education. Today, Marta brings her eclectic appreciation of music to bear into the classroom.

Marta has a new solo CD out, and you can find out more here.
