The Fiddle & Bow Society brings Occidental Gypsy back to The Triad this weekend.

David Bromberg, the Godfather of Americana, calls them “An awesome band with great singing, fantastic guitar and violin work, and high energy originals that leave the crowd crazy”, and the Boston Globe deems Occidental Gypsy the "Best Bet" for weekend live music.

Occidental Gypsy will perform live Friday, February 20th beginning at 8:00 PM at the Community Arts Café in Winston-Salem. Tickets are 16 bucks, 14 for Fiddle and Bow Society and CAC members.

Bassist Jeff Feldman spoke with David Ford by phone from Ann Arbor, MI about what distinguishes Gypsy Jazz, and how, with the right arrangement, Gypsy Jazz can take the form of everything from Hank Williams to Michael Jackson.
