The Community Theatre of Greensboro celebrates its 65th season this year beginning with The Fantasticks this weekend, The Odd Couple in November, and the following week, it's their 20th Anniversary Production of Wizard of Oz. In October, CTG tips its top hat to Executive Director Mitchel Sommers for his 25 years as ringmaster. Cirque du CTG will be a two day celebration of talent and shows with all proceeds going to support their education and outreach programs. Mitchel's adventures began back in 1989.

David Ford spoke with Community Theatre of Greensboro Executive Director Mitchel Sommers. CTG kicks off its 65th season with The Fantasticks Friday night, September 26th at 8:00 PM in Starr Theatre. On October 18th and 19th Community Theatre of Greensboro celebrates Mitchel's 25th year as Executive Director with Cirque du CTG. There'll be a Ringmaster's Broadway Revue in the Starr Theatre showcasing a quarter century of CTG talent and shows, strolling musicians, clowns, circus themed heavy hors d'oeuvres, open bar and more. All proceeds go to support education and outreach programs. In November the season continues with The Odd Couple followed mid-month by CTG's 20th Anniversary Production of Wizard of Oz
