Carolina Music Ways is a grassroots organization that's evolved into one of the most dynamic educational non-profits in the region.

The non-profit's 2015 season runs February through April during which time they'll offer free curriculum for use in social studies, language arts or music classes to accompany their in-school show. Carolina Music Ways often provides the very first live concert that students will ever hear, and this year as always they'll visit as many schools as their funding allows. Carolina Music Ways depends on donations to keep the music flowing.

Musical Director for Carolina Music Ways is award-winning bass player and educator Matt Kendrick was joined by Board Chair Annie Jenkins. The two discuss the benefits of sharing the musical heritage of the Piedmont: genres such as Moravian, Blues, Jazz, Gospel, R&B, Old Time, and Bluegrass.
