The Blue Ridge Music Center's Summer Evening Concert Series featuring artists spanning all styles and iterations of traditional Appalachian music continues this Saturday with Red June and the Black Twig Pickers. Next weekend visitors to the center can enjoy NPR's Paul Brown and his live radio show: Across the Blue Ridge. The three-part series continues Saturday, August 23rd with old-time stringband music in the "Round Peak Style" performed by one of the best, first prize winners at the Mount Airy and Fiddler's Grover Fiddler's Conventions: Backstep. Music Center Program Director Richard Emmett says beginning Memorial Day, weekend concerts will continue practically every Saturday night at the BRMC's beautiful outdoor amphitheater, just about an hour's drive from the Triad.

Their concert series continues Saturday night, August 16th at 7PM in the beautiful outdoor amphitheater with outstanding Bluegrass by Red June and the Black Twig Pickers. The Music Center, located on the North Carolina/Virginia border, just south of Galax, Virginia at mile marker 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, is also open daily from 10 AM - 5 PM  where you can enjoy the Roots of American Music Exhibit and local Mid-Day Mountain Musician concerts daily from noon to 4:00PM.
