Please note that at this time all sessions of Radio Camp are FULL. If you would like to be added to a waiting list, email us with your contact information, which camp you're interested in, and how many campers you would like to add to the waiting list.

Radio Camp is a week-long, summer enrichment day camp for students aged 11 - 14 interested in technology, journalism, and the exciting world of radio! Over the week, students learn the basics of audio recording in the studio and "in the field;" how to conduct an interview; how to edit sound on computers into a news story; and the other skills needed to write, record, edit, and create stories for broadcast on 88.5 WFDD!
Radio Camp Winston-Salem is held at the WFDD studios on the campus of Wake Forest University.
Radio Camp Greensboro is held at the studios of WQFS on the campus of Guilford College.
- Winston-Salem I: July 11 - 15 (This session is FULL. Please email us if you'd like to be added to a waiting list.)
- Greensboro: July 18 - 22 (This session is FULL. Please email us if you'd like to be added to a waiting list.)
- Winston-Salem II: July 25 - 29 (This session is FULL. Please email us if you'd like to be added to a waiting list.)
9am - 1pm (drop off as early as 8:30am).
Open to students who are between the ages of 11 and 14.
Cost: $200 (register and pay before May 1st to get a 10% discount)
Each camp is limited to 14 students.
All education programs are taught by WFDD staff members assisted by college students, other public radio industry professionals, and station volunteers.
