Sheila S. Thrower

Sheila Schulz Thrower, a native of New Jersey, has been in public radio for more than twenty five years. She graduated from College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) with a BA in English and a minor in Communications. Sheila also is certified as a K - 8 teacher and Secondary English teacher. Sheila has worked in television production in Philadelphia and was an educator in New Jersey schools. She is married to David Thrower and is the mother of three grown children and has three grandsons.
 

Her community involvement has been vast and varied currently, Sheila is Chair of YMCA Camp Weaver's Board of Management and has served on their board for several years. Sheila is a graduate of the Leadership Greensboro Class of 2010. In her spare time, she loves traveling, gardening, meteorology, and the arts.
