That's how many people describe WFDD's Senior Producer, Kathryn Mobley.  She produces WFDD's award-winning Real People, Real Stories that features personal essays from some of Piedmont's most interesting residents.  Ms. Mobley has also earned local, regional and national awards for several feature stories and news series.

WFU Baseball Team Donate Proceeds to Boston Marathon Bombing Survivors

The WFU baseball team has members from the Boston, and N.H. area, so they are donating ticket money from their three-game series with Boston College to survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Members of the Wake Forest University baseball team are reaching out to support the survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Putting Her Best Foot Forward

Ellenor Eubanks Shepherd is a competitive ballroom dancer, and at 81 she’s twirled into regional, national and international spotlights. “It stretches all parts of your body while you keep moving," says Ellenor. "You have to keep up with the music, so you have to stay mentally flexible as well as physically flexible.” She lives in Greensboro and trains at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio on Mill Street.

April 15, the deadline to file state and federal taxes, comes around every year. But still some people procrastinate. So Reed Prevatte has found a way to help them, “Come in in the middle of the night and we’ll do your taxes for you.” Prevatte owns four Liberty Tax Services; two in Winston-Salem, one in Clemmons and one in King. Friday at his Jonestown Road office in Winston-Salem, he’s hosting an around-the-clock tax prep slumber party. “Some people work third shift and coming in at 5:00 a.m. makes sense to them,” Prevatte explains.
