Audrey Fannin is WFDD’s News Coordinator and All Things Considered host.  An award-winning producer with extensive experience producing for radio, television and the web, Audrey initially joined WFDD in 2006 as assignment editor and news host. Audrey is a graduate of Ohio University. She spent several years in South Carolina, first as a reporter and assistant recording engineer at WSCI-FM in Charleston, then as statewide news anchor for the South Carolina Educational Radio and Television Network in Columbia. Her favorite beats are politics, the environment, new technology and music.

How Important is Your Credit Score?

Your credit score may be more important than you think.

Over the past few years, a number of new laws governing consumer credit have gone into effect. A study released this week looked at what consumers know about their credit score and its importance.  The study's findings show that most Americans have at least a fair understanding of what credit scores are, and how to improve their scores by paying credit card and other installment debt on time each month.

Concert Will Showcase Pop Music of Winston-Salem

This weekend, Winston-Salem is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the two cities uniting as one. Part of the festivities will include an outdoor concert Friday night featuring pop music with Winston-Salem connections. Doug Davis, of the musical group, the Vagabond Saints' Society, spoke with WFDD’s Audrey Fannin about the musical lineup.

Showtime is 7 – 10 p.m. at the corner of 6th and Cherry Streets in downtown Winston-Salem.

High Point Residents Invited to Dream Big

High Point residents are invited to share their thoughts about what the city will be in the future.

Residents of High Point are being asked to dream big for the future, starting with a series of discussions this week. 

The Miami-based architectural and city planning firm Duany Plater-Zyberk will lead the charrettes that begin Wednesday and run through May 15th. Wendy Fuscoe, Executive Director of The City Project, says the end result will be a master plan that weaves together the downtown showroom district, Uptowne and High Point University.
